Playing around with J

This was just playing around.
Just shows how much she's grown though.

My nephew's first tee ball game

A week ago my 6 year old nephew had his first tee ball game.
He's the one with the bright orange pants!

He caught his first ball! It just popped right up into his glove!

Here he is up to bat, he sticks out his little tongue every time he hits the ball or runs the bases.

A new chapter...

I have been blessed with an opportunity of a life time.
I am now in a partnership with the owner of the House of Photography.
And over the years I will eventually take over the business completely when he's ready to retire.
I'm so excited.
I wouldn't be where I am today without the teachings from this man.

Brian is totally on board and excited as well. We helped out with a Prom recently and that was fun. It was my first prom ever... even though I didn't get to dress in a formal dress, it was still a fun experience and Ron, my teacher/business partner took a couple pics of Brian and I "for my first prom."

The kids don't really get what is going on. But Blake has noticed mommy has been gone more.
I think he will have the most issues adjusting. He thinks mommy's aren't supposed to work.
Only because I've been home with him since his birth.

So a lot of adjustments. I lot of excitement.
I'm looking forward to this new venture in my life.

Our 7 year Anniversary Surprise!

On Monday Brian and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary.
While Brian, Blake and I were out at Pizza Hut for Blake's school fundraiser for the evening, Jalyssa and my sister Gina began to make a surprise cake.
When we got home Gina and Jalyssa sang an "anniversary song" to us and we had cake and opened cards. What a perfect end to the day.

I guess Jalyssa had trouble with the icing. LOL!
Here is the card they gave us, home-made of course, the best kind!
Because Jalyssa saw in her date book that 7 yrs is the year to give Copper, she and Blake gave us 7 pennies. So Cute!
These two sang an anniversary "duet."

Edge of a Storm

Click on the picture to see larger!
Some neat pics of the edge of a storm that passed by here a couple weeks ago.
We just got sprinkles but just East of us got a big storm with hail included.

Nice day for Kites

Today is warm but windy, perfect day for kite flying.
Blake has a new Spiderman kite and tested it out today!

Flyin' High!

Blake and Lauren on our swings.

Pretty Daffodils in the yard.

Spring has sprung!

Yay! Today reached 72 degrees at our house, a little windy but lots of sunshine!
Looking forward to many more warm days!
Nothing too exciting to report otherwise.
Going to be spreading mulch around various parts of the yard tomorrow. What Fun!
Blake has been checking out the window every morning for Robin's, he thinks the same Robin is stopping by our front yard every morning.
Today we had a duck in our front yard. Brian got some video of the duck before he left for work.
Apparently they're hanging out in my neighbors pool, but when their dogs come outside they fly to our yard.
It's both my sisters birthdays this week, they are both 29 for 4 days until my middle sister turns the big 30 on Friday. Happy Birthday Girls!

Lovin' Aunt Gina

My sister is visiting and she was reading the newspaper and when she was done and set it down, within seconds Blake switched couches to cuddle with her.

Boxing in his sleep?

Blake often falls asleep with his light on because he continues to read after we've read him a book at night. This particular night he apparently put on one of his boxing gloves and fell asleep with it on.  Silly little guy!

April Fools!

I think Mother Nature is having fun with us today. While driving down Wilson today I got a glimpse of many weather changes. First it was just windy, about a block down there was a ton of rain, I got a block further and it was snowing, finally I got to the corner of Lake Mich/Wilson and it was a tad sunny.
What a cruel joke!
